EN4165 / SIM for MPO connectors
Amphenol offers a wide range of optical modules fitted different standards of fiber optic termini or optical connectors. The module SIM MPO can be used with the whole range of EN4165 / SIM connectors. MTP/MPO connector directly plugs and locks itself into the module. It can be easily removed for repair. Fiber Optics interconnect for high speed / bandwidth communications.

EN4165 / SIMTac® for MTAC connectors
Amphenol offers a wide range of optical modules fitted different standards of fiber optic termini or optical connectors. The module SIMTac can be used with the whole range of EN4165 / SIM connectors. MTAC connector directly plugs and locks itself into the module. It can be easily removed for repair.

    -Hermaphroditic style allows one contact type
    -Standard 2.5mm ST type ferrule interface allows the use of standard termination procedures & readily available Tools

    -Note: ARINC 801 and Amphelux™ contacts are conforming to EN4639-10 spec; Multi-mode and Single mode capable
    -Guiding pins for alignment prior to mating into sleeve holder
    -Only 1 insert, gender is defined by which side is fitted with sleeve holder; Interfacial, extended sealing grommet
  • EN4165 / SIM for MPO connectors :
    -From 12 to 48 fibers
    -Multimode and Single mode type
    -The P (male) insert is fitted with an interfacial compression seal. It is the one which by default will accept the MTP/MPO equipped with guiding Pins
    -The S (female) insert has no interfacial seal
    -Both P and S inserts have molded pre alignment tabs for pre-positioning during mating of connectors
    -Custom designed insert accommodates MT ferrule-type based & standard MTP/MPO multi-fiber connectors
    -MTP/MPO directly plugs/locks into SIM/EN 4165 compatible insert; easily removed for repair
    -From 12 to 48 fibers; Multi-mode and Single mode type
    -P (male) insert fitted with interfacial compression seal; will accept the MTP/MPO equipped with guiding pins
    -Both P and S inserts have molded pre-alignment tabs for prepositioning during mating of connectors

    -MTAC connectors are fitted with MT ferrules as per IEC 61754-5
    -To be assemble on but-joint or lensed MT ferrule
    -2 versions available : unlocking from the front (MTAC-01) or from the rear (MTAC-02)
    -Removal from the rear for both versions
