According to the official announcement from BAAINBw, the approval certificates for cadmium-plated or Cr-VI-containing connectors will expire on June 30, 2026 for all manufacturers.

To ensure long-term supply security for the cadmium-plated version beyond June 30, 2026, Amphenol Air-LB has introduced the manufacturer standard AA96912. This is based on the VG96912 and is, with regard to Form, fit and function fully compatible.
The system of the order key enables a Simple and direct cross reference from VG96912 to AA96912.
SJT
The SJT series from Amphenol-Air LB has the same technical design as VG96912 and is its commercial equivalent. However, in addition to the designs described in the standard, SJT offers a further selection of shell styles, contact configurations, and versions under the manufacturer's part designation.
The series is constantly being further developed to meet new requirements and is tailored to customer specifications.
